Hello, and welcome to Sysnative!

The good news is that there is a high chance this is completely harmless and nothing to worry about. But let's check for sure :)

Please...

Export CBS folder

  1. Click the Start button
    StartButton_16x16.gif
    then click Computer.
  2. Double-click on the C: drive, under the Hard Disk Drives category, and then scroll down to, and double click on the Windows folder.
  3. Find and double click on the Logs folder.
  4. Right-click on the CBS folder, and select Copy.
  5. Go back to your Desktop, right-click on it, and select Paste. You should now see a copy of the CBS folder appear on your Desktop called CBS.
  6. Right-click on this new folder, and navigate through Send to, and select Compressed (zipped) folder.
  7. A new file, also called CBS (CBS.zip), but this time with a different icon, will be created. Please upload it here.

Thank you!

Richard

Download and Run SFCFix

Please download and run SFCFix from >Here<

It will take about 15 minutes to process. Once the scan has completed a notepad file will launch with the results. Please copy and paste the entire contents of the results and post them back into this thread. Please put

tags around the log to break up the text.

Why all the warning messages attached to this file? Can or will this damage my system? Couldn't you open the CBS.zip file?

Why all the warning messages attached to this file? Can or will this damage my system? Couldn't you open the CBS.zip file?

What warnings? I wouldn't ask you to run a program that would damage your system. Have a look at all the threads in the Windows Update forum a large amount of them SFCFix has been ran and it hasn't damaged anyone's system.

I already ran the SFC.exe file from Microsoft. It created 2 notepad text files on my desktop. SFC Details and CBS. Would you like either or both of them? I am having trouble copy/pasting them into the reply window and I am not well versed computer expert. Thanks

Did you run SFC /SCANNOW after you run SFCFix? The time stamps on the CBS log say that SFC /SCANNOW was ran before SFCFix.

Please run SFC /SCANNOW and upload the CBS.txt document please
