Hello--

I have upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, and have a couple of issues. The first one....when I use a Windows 10 CD to boot to repair options and go into the Command Line, type bootrec/scanos it comes back saying it found only one Windows installation at d:\windows.old\windows. I know for a fact that there is d:\windows directory, and this computer will boot fine into Windows 10 (I'm assuming the windows.old is the Windows 7 files). Am I making too much of this or is this a problem with the installation that I should fix?

I did also run sfc /scannow from the command line, and it ran without errors.

Thanks for your help.

I don't believe this is an issue. After 30 days windows will purge the windows.old (Windows 7) directory unless you force it to do it sooner. As long as windows boots and is functioning OK I think you are all set.
