Hey guys! I dunno, if i should post this here or in 'Windows update' (especially since after writing this post i saw there was a failed update, will update/change thread once i retried) but after resetting windows to fix my DirectPlay error every time i shut down my windows it shows the Windows is getting ready screen for about an hour before it completely shuts down. Is this common? I've never had this happen before.

Thank you in advance!

Try sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt: if it says there are errors, I'll move this topic to the windows update sub-forum.

So, the scan passed, no errors, i manually started downloading the update, in the update status field it changed from failed to downloading, more than 6 hours later its at "Awaiting download". The update in question is the 2018-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4056892), before reseting the windows it updated no probs. I'm using a Core 2 Quad Q9650, non overclocked (altough i built this system to play with overclocking) so this update should be installing just fine.
