I began noticing this problem when the UAC prompt wasn't showing up about a month ago. I ran an SFC scan and it found corrupted files that it could not fix, so I ran DISM which was able to fix the issue and I could then produce a healthy SFC scan. I checked again out of curiosity a couple weeks later, and there were no issues. However, today I checked again and there were corrupt files that SFC could not fix again, and they were again fixable by DISM. It's nice to know that I can fix the files, but I would like to stop the corruption. What steps could I take to identify the cause of this and fix it?
