My Dell 55570 laptop (Windows 10 Pro) is relatively new (2 months) and was experiencing problems updating Office 365, so I opened a ticket/call with Microsoft and we began the dance. Initially uninstalled Office 365 and tried to reinstall, received a general error code 30088-4, then started to run the SFC /SCANNOW utility, got to 53% then stopped, couldn't finish. Tried to run DSIM but it would also not complete. I ran CHKDSK / SCAN found errors, then ran CHKDSK /spotfix and thought I had addressed the issue but still couldn't get SFC /SCANNOW to complete. I tried to reinstall MS OFFICE 365, same error. I stumbled across this forum and ran the SFC /SCANNOW again, then tried the SFCfix and it too failed (SFCFix version 3.0.0.0 by niemiro has encountered an unhandled exception.)...see attached zipped CBS.log.
Hoping there are some suggestions but not opposed to doing a full system restore.
