Greetings,

I have a Sony Vaio computer with Windows 7 64-bit OS. Every time I open the documents folder the Windows Explorer locks up. I have made shortcuts on my desktop to folders inside of the documents folder and can open those with no problem. When it happens I have to restart the computer because if I end it in the task manager, which I have to get to using Ctrl+Alt+Del explorer does not restart. I can interact with programs I had open when it locked up but am unable to open any new programs, no access to the start menu, taskbar shortcuts or desktop short cuts. It is just getting annoying any suggestions?

Hi -

Does the same thing happen in Safemode?

Tap the F8 key repeatedly during boot-up and test it, please.

Regards. . .
