Hello,
I installed a new game from Steam. Started it up for the first time, when I changed it from full screen mode to windowed mode my system froze. I had to reboot my pc.
Now I get to the login screen with a purple color and after a while it goes black. The two available system restore points fail to restore.
Eventually I managed to boot in safe mode.
After running the "sfc /scannow" in command prompt I get errors. I found this forum searching for a solution.
It seems to be related to the following topic:
[Win8/8.1] GUIDE: CNBJ2530.DPB and prncacla.inf Corruptions
After running the SFCFix tool I get the following:
FIXED: Performed DISM repair on file Amd64\CNBJ2530.DPB of version 6.3.9600.17415.
SUMMARY: No corruptions were detected.
AutoAnalysis:: directive completed successfully.
But when I try to reboot the problem remains. When I run the sfc command once again, I still get the error about the dpb an inf corruption.
Is there something else I can try to resolve this issue or will I need to perform a fresh install?
(I'm running Windows 8.1 on an iMac bootcamp partition.)
Many thanks in advance.
