It’s no secret that Microsoft wants Windows 9 on the market as soon as possible, and now it appears that the company is speeding up the development process so much that the operating system could reach RTM before the end of the year.
Microsoft hasn’t yet publicly talked about Windows 9, but it did confirm that a new Windows version was in the works, refusing to disclose any other specifics concerning the scheduled release date.
According to previous reports, Windows 9 was projected to hit the shelves in April 2015, approximately one year after the launch of Windows 8.1 Update, which would more or less comply with Microsoft’s rapid release cycle that could bring us new large updates and OS releases on a yearly basis.
But if Windows 9 indeed reaches RTM
before the end of the year, the operating system might actually be launched sooner than expected, so everyone could get their hands on it in early 2015.
