Windows 8 Update Error 800703F1

Hello and welcome to Sysnative forums.

The error is with the COMPONENTS hive not loading:

I tried to load it on my computer, but unfortunately had no luck. Taking a look at the hive data it appears to be correct.

The bad news with this is that we have not been successfully in working out a way to repair these hives without doing a complete fresh install of Windows.

Unfortunately the other thread was a different case, the registry HIVE in the other thread was able to be repaired by fixing a part in the registry hive header.

Yesterday I spent about an hour going of the registry hive header and structure to tr and work out why it was not loading, but I had no luck. If you dont decide to reinstall, let me know and when I get some more free time I will have another try.
