Hi,

You guys were excellent in resolving another problem I had, so I thought about you for this one.

We have a windows 8 virtual machine that shows lots of problems :

1) When you open windows menu and start typing "cmd" or any other app, it won't find it and propose it to you.
2) It does not pick up the GPOs because it can't access the network share. It can resolve the domain, can ping it, but no access to the share, no firewall blocking
3) SFC /scannow reports errors that cannot be fixed

I have ran the Microsoft Safety Scanner to no avail.

DISM /online /restorehealth also gives errors that it cannot find the files, I will have to try specifying an image.

Resetting winsock & IP did not help.

SFCFix did not find anything :
SFCFix version 3.0.0.0 by niemiro.

Microsoft Windows 8.1 Update 3 - amd64
Not using a script file.
