Hi,

I found this thread through google.
My problem is installing November Update for Windows 8.1 Pro.

On shuting down -after update is installed- it hangs at 20%. After reboot I got error C0190003 at different files.
It tries 2 reboot long after that I can use system restore point.

Attached my cbs.log

Hello and welcome to the forum

There is an error in the CBS log with a corrupt file.

Download and Run SFCFix

Please download and run SFCFix from >Here<

It will take about 15 minutes to process. Once the scan has completed a notepad file will launch with the results. Please copy and paste the entire contents of the results and post them back into this thread. Please put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

Hi,

I made a mistake: forget to drop sfcfix.zip to sfcfix.exe
To cut some time I killed sfcfix while it was running, killed it while dism was running. Dism was not killed but run to the end. So I think no other harm to my system is occured but sfcfix didn't like to run anymore.
Code:
Something has gone horribly wrong and SFCFix has crashed. Would you like SFCFix
to submit a crash report to the developer so that this problem can be fixed?

I didn't even find with procmon where it reads the data about the crash :-)
c:\sfcfix and appdata\local\niemiro
is not enough

Cloud you please tell how to "reset" sfcfix so I could try the real fix.

If SFCFix crashes and you agree to the submit the report, the report will be automatically upload to the forum here for niemiro to read.

If you delete the current version of SFCFix, download a new one, does it let you run the fix I sent?

The fix applied flalessly so I tried to install november update.
It failed again.
I retried the fix, after recovery with restoring point

Did you run SFC /SCANNOW again? :)

The file wont actually register as fixed until SFC /SCANNOW is ran again. Once done, please also upload the new CBS log.
