Anyone installed the 8.1 update yet? comes with a few tweaks but I downloaded it from microsoft on the 2nd and it was a nice small upgrade. :thumbsup2: It's public April 8th, but for anyone with an MSDN account, they would've had it available to them on April 2nd.

I just grabbed the ISO for future installs.....but I"m just going to wait for the upgrade/update through the store. It's only 2 more days.

It was leaked a few weeks ago and I thought I'd install it to see the changes, but it's given me a fair few problems since and I'm still fighting to rectify everything! I love the way apps run in the taskbar now.

That's why you don't download from illegitimate sources. :smile9:

Installed today - no issues.

For some reason Word/PP/Excel stopped opening, but that was due to MalwareBytes Anti-Exploit. I've uninstalled that and they work again.

I don't see any different really, since I rarely see the start screen. I shut down from Win+X, and don't use the Modern apps.

I have not ran into any issues that I've noticed either. Everything seems good. I really thought the update included windowed apps though, not just displays within the taskbar (that's a bit lame).

I have window apps with my update...with any app open just move to mouse to the top of the app and the border will appear with the minimize and red X buttons. Although using the red X to close the app doesn't actually close it. It's still running in the background. You have to drag it to bottom and wait for flip, use task manager or Alt + 4 to really close it.

That's not what I meant... I meant windowed ON the desktop, like a regular Windows form application.
