I'm facing problems with my Surface Pro 3 running Windows 8.1. Updates fail with error code 800703F1.
I tried to run sfc /scannow, Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth and /RestoreHealth.
But these are failing too:
sfc: Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation
Dism: The configuration registry database is corrupt
I further tried Microsoft Fix It (WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab), it finds errors and 'solves' them. But the problem persists.
I have attached my CBS log files, my current COMPONENTS registry hive and the results from SFCFix.
SFCFix does do some work and starts dism which fails with error 1009. It then stops doing something, so the resulting file was created after I pressed a key.
Hope you can help me.
