Hello Guys & Gals,

I have a strange question (or not strange).

I have a Windows 8.1 64bit oem system that came with no windows disk.
I am having motherboard problems so I need to change the motherboard.
my old one is going for repair and I will either receive it back or an identical board & revision and same bios.

When I install the new board I am guessing Microsoft will tell me windows is not activated or something and i correct?

If so how do i reactivate it if that happens and it is still the same system and same motherboard model and revision & bios?

I won't get the board until next week or maybe longer but i wanted to check before just to be safe.
Please let me know.
Thanks in advance
Gren

If the board is the model it should not be a issue, if for some reason it does as to reactivate you'll need to do the phone activation at the number provided on screen and just explain it is a oem replacement board.

Hello Wrench97,

Thanks for letting me know I really appreciate it.
I was just told about 10 minutes ago the board they are sending is not exactly the same.
It is the same model but the Bios is different my current bios is F2 and the one on way to me is F3 bios.
So its the same model just different bios.

Would it still should work?

Thanks in advance
Gren
