[Windows 8.1] .NET 4.7.2 Update KB4054531 impossible to install. Error 800F0831

Hi guys!

I'm trying to install the update of .NET to version 4.7.2 on Windows 8.1 but it always fail. I've tried a lot of common solutions searched on google but still did not managed to get it successfull. It seems a package is corrupted, because by taking a look at the logs it always refer to the same package. Here is the part of the CBS log that contains the error:

Updating, there was an error when running the command Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Hello and welcome!

FRST Registry Search
1. Click your Start button and type in cmd. Press Enter.
2. Copy paste the following into the Command Prompt:

reg load HKLM\COMPONENTS C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\COMPONENTS

3. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
4. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
5. Copy and paste KB4338424 into the Search box and click the Search Registry button.
6. When the scan is complete a notepad window will open with the results. Please attach this to your next reply. It is saved on your desktop named SearchReg.txt.
