Hi there,

I've tried to install this update on a Win7 x64 home version and it keeps failing at reboot at 10%.
every others updates from MS are installing without problem.
Tried everything I could, found out that there is theses errors in the checksur.log that I can't remediate.

here is the link to the cbs folder :Dropbox - CBS.zip

I've uninstalled Avast but there is some reference to it in the checksur.log.

thanks for your help

Add Missing Package
1. Click the Start button and type cmd.exe in the search box.
2. Right-click on the cmd that comes up and select Run as administrator.
3. Once you are at the command prompt, copy/paste the following line and hit enter.
pnputil -a C:\windows\WinSxS\amd64_usb.inf_31bf3856ad364e35_6.1.7601.23933_none_299141303e40c6bc\usb.inf

Let me know if it says successfully installed. If it does, try to install the update. If the update fails, please attach:

C:\Windows\Inf\setupapi.dev.log

Also, please do the following:

Retrieve Components Hive
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to a file sharing service and just provide the link here.

the command was successful, just a warning that the driver was not signed.

here is the new setupapi.dev.log

thanks,
