Hello,

I try to update my father's computer to W10 but I facing the issue 0xC1900101 0x30017 - the installation failed in the FIRST_BOOT phase with an error during BOOT operation
After some search, I did all updates available through Windows Update, disable the antivirus program and unplug all USB devices. The BIOS is already up to date and there is enough space on the disk but I am still stuck

I run the SFC Scan and the result was "Windows Ressource Protection did not find any intergrity violation"

I installed the package from Step #3 of Windows Update Forum Posting Instruction without error

But at Step #4 there is several issue detected on SURT and it cannot be fixed automatically

Hi!

Please run a FRST Scan and attach the logs:

Step#1 - FRST Scan

1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Right-click FRST64.exe and click Run as Administrator to run it as administrator. When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
3. Please ensure you place a check mark in the Addition.txt check box at the bottom of the form before running (if not already checked).
4. Press Scan button.
5. It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should now be the desktop)
6. Please attach the log back here.
7. Another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST64.exe) will be generated Please also attach that along with the FRST.txt in your reply.

Please uninstall:

Everything related to Acer
Everything related to EPSON
ZTE Handset USB Driver
SAMSUNG USB Driver for Mobile Phones
Qualcomm Atheros WiFi Driver Installation

Then reboot and run a fresh Scan with FRST so I can check the logs.

Please do not install anything. Yes, drivers can cause this.

Please do the following:

Step#1 - FRST Fix

2. Download the attached fixlist.txt and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
3. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
4. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
5. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

I am using Media Creation Tool 1909 to upgrade
I need a network connection
Is it OK if I reinstall the wifi driver ?

It does not need it. Install the OS from the ISO and then disconnect. Do not install any drivers.

  1. Download the Media Creation Tool and save this to your desktop. Go ahead and run this as well. Note: Click the Download tool now button when you get to this link.
  2. Accept the License Agreement
  3. Download the ISO file to your desktop.
  4. Double-click on the ISO and then run the setup to try and upgrade your machine.

unfortunately the upgrading failed with the same error code
Do I need to perfom an another operation with FRST ?
