Hey
I just read a thread here ' https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi...talling-windows-7-service-pack-1-for-x64.html ' and quite frankly im experiencing the same problem. Iwas finding a solution however the official solution says not to try it as it may vary from person to person hence starting a new thread.
I have tried the official fix it and the other solutions from Microsoft ( all the solutions the user in the mentioned thread tried ) and it happens that i still cannot fix the problem.
My antivirus is Eset Nod32
and i figured you will be needing my log file ( ihave absolutely no idea what that is but I figured that windows 6.1 KB947821 might help in getting the log file so ill post it here )
however if there is any other way to get that log file please do tell me as it seems essential for you people to help me.
P.s im using a 32 bit windows 7 home basic
Much appreciated,
Damsel In Distress

Alright i tried it again and it is fixed. THANKYOU SO MUCH !!!!!!!!!!!
one more question : do i need to install the optional updates?

No worries at all :)

do i need to install the optional updates?

I personally do, as the updates were released to either improve/secure a Windows component, by that if you have all the updates installed your PC should be completely update to date with the latest features.
