Hi, Found this forum through this thread [SOLVED] - Failed to upgrade from Win 7 Home Premium to Win 10: 0x8007001F - 0x20006 and have completed the steps from a link in there, which is this thread Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions

I am trying to upgrade form 7 to 10 using the "MediaCreationTool21H2" from Microsoft. It all goes ok, then it reboots as it should and gets to around 15% when it is updating before rebooting again and undoing everything.

The error I get is:

"0x8007001F-0x20006
the installation failed in the safe_os phase with an error during replicate oc operation"

I have tried different things mentioned from a google of the error such as deleting the windows update cache, troubleshooting the windows updater, etc but nothing has been successful so far.

Following the steps in the above thread I will not post the results of SFCFix and the CBS folder, thanks for any help

Hello and welcome,

Follow the instructions below please.

  • Download the file SFCFix.zip and save it on your desktop.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the
    myjIXnC.png
    SFCFix.exe executable and release it.
    1p8eDnI.gif
  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Attach that file to your next reply.

Well done.

Follow the instructions below to run a scan with the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) and provide a log.
  1. Download SURT for your system. (Windows 7 SP1 x64)
  2. Once downloaded, execute the installer, and go through the installation (this process can take around 15-20 minutes).
  3. On completion, a log will be created in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log.
  4. Attach this log to your next reply.
Alternatively, if these instructions are unclear for you, you can follow the tutorial below.
System Update Readiness Tool (SURT)

When I try to open that executable, it says extracting but then never opens anything. If I look at the CBS.log in the CBS folder I think something is failing. I also have a CheckSUR.log I did a few days when I posted the thread initially. I will attach those both now.

Nice. Reboot the machine.
Try to upgrade again and report the result.

Hi, after a few days I've gotten the chance to try the upgrade again and it is failing at the same point still, along with giving the same error message.

SFCFix scan:
  1. Double-click

Great. The CheckSur log is clean.

Restart the computer.

Great.
You can try the upgrade to Windows 10 again.
Make sure to have a backup of all your important data first,
