OS is Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 with 4GB RAM. Apparently there are a number of failures to open sessions, etc acording to the CBS report. They don't look serious to me, but I cannot figure out why the upgrade fails with error 0xC1900101-0x20017, especially since I have used the same proceedure to upgrade several of my other systems. I have looked up the error and have tried every solution I can find to no avail. Any help/insight would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance. BTW, I could not determine the appropriate version of SURT from the download list popup.

BTW, an attachment button did not exist when I created the original message. Probably should have created an account first. The required files are attached here.I took the liberty of including the SFCFIX report also. Apologies.

Previously downloaded Windows 10 Setup ISO from MS and burn to DVD, twice (I have two copies. Tried both. Both have worked fine on other computers.) Also, chose "Upgrade This PC Now". Same issue. "Problem with upgrade. You computer needs to be restarted. We will restart it for you" . . . shuts down with no restart at all. Booting system to a failure message, reverted back to Windows 7.

Have you redone the ISO or are trying with one that worked before? The Media Creation Tool does update as the newest version is 22H2. Any chance the DVD is damaged. Although the ISO methods seems to work best, others have been successful with the USB/Flash way.

I thought of downloading and burning a new ISO, but discounted it as I downloaded it and chose "Upgrade this PC now". Will burn it to a new disk as well as a flash drive a give those a try. Will keep you posted. Was there anything of interset in the files sent?
