Ran sfc/cannow in cmd as admin- however that command line I was to copy and paste kept telling me the syntax was incorrect -I found the CBS logs- Im not sure if this is what is required, seeing as i kept failing to execute that command to generate the txt file, sorry if this isnt what you need- thanks again- :

Thanks softwaremaniac-running sfc/scannow there were still corrupted files that it was unable to fix.

still found corrupt files and wasnt able to fix some of them- thanks so much for all this- this time when i try to upload it it says my file exceeds the kb amount for this filetype.Im sorry- am i doing something wrong?( file is 1.99mb)?

Ok thankyou so much for all your time Softwaremaniac!- there still seems to be a lot of errors and it bugs me that SCF keeps telling me there are corrupted files- Im assuming those are false positives at this stage.Windows error reporting has a load of entries- fingerscrossed-many Thanks !

:) ok I'll check back here-Im not sure if all the error reports have to do with whatever is going on-but Im more than happy ( and grateful) for any help.

Just an edit with some extra info- You mentioned avast, I use AVG which i know utilizes Avast components-the last month nearly every BSOD seemed to coincide with AVG " critical updates" of virus definiitons- I am obviously no technical wizz - I had no idea how to resolve this myself- butI have turned off AVG auto updates while i have been posting here( also no crashes since I have done that)- it may not be related- just adding it for extra info.

Is this a Chinese system by any chance?

As far as I know its not a Chinese system- I am Australian, I purchased it when it was a year old from a licensed refurbisher- theres no telling who had it before that though.
