Hello,
Around 3-4 months ago I started experiencing a problem with major windows updates. I can't for the life of me install them even if I download the files from microsoft. I think I know what caused this though. I was updating windows normally and when I went to turn of my pc it just hung on the installing updates for 2 hours forcing me to manually shut it down. I'm at my wits end here so any help advice would be appreciated. I did the SFCFix thingy and attached the file.

Hello and happy new year!
I tried this, I left it sitting for about 4 hours and it didn't move from the initial screen.

Alrighty. Let it running all night, checked it after 8 hours and it was still at the first screen then I checked it again 11 hours in and it was done. Unfortunately it still fails to update. Here is the now SFCFix

Hi!

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

 1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
 2. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
 3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
 4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
 5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
 6. SFCFix will now process the script.
 7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
 8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put

tags around the log to break up the text.

Afterwards, run SURT again and attach the CheckSUR.log
