I attempted to update a windows 7 machine to 10, during the install I'm getting the "Installation failed during SAFE_OS with error in operation REPLICATE_OC" error. I've tried all of the typical recommended fixes.
After attempting to install I found that windows 7 was also failing to install another update, update kb4534310 with error 80004005.
Attempting to fix that led me to the CBS logs where it shows the following errors:

I have:
Renamed Softwaredistribution and catroot2 folders
Reset all windows update components
verified windows update services are running
Tried chkdsk, found and repaired two files.
Tried SFC, found no corruption
Tried System update readiness tool, no change
I have followed the steps outlined here: Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions
