Hello
I need help with WU. Since April following updates fail to install:
KB4091290 error 800F0816
KB4093113 error 800F0816
KB4093118 error 800F0816
KB4103718 error 80242016
KB4343900 error 80242016
These are monthly rollups.
Every time after installation these updates windows did not booted. Sometimes system restore helped. Last two system restore and system repair did not help and only restoring registry backup helped. Anyway they didn't install. Now i don't even try to install new ones.
I ran SFC - no errors. Then SURT anda SFCfix.
SUMMARY: Some corruptions could not be fixed automatically. Seek advice from helper or sysnative.com
I attach logs and CBS folder. I will be grateful for your help

I've run SFC once more now and it founds errors couldn't fix. So I'm running SURT and SFCfix and than update my logs.

I'm sorry for the mess. I tried to install what WU offers. And 5 patches installed(about .NET framerwork) but other 5 not:

KB2984976 error 80070490
KB3080079 error 80070490
KB3092601 error 80070490
KB2888049 error 80070490
KB4457144 error 800F0816
The last - monthly rollup - I installed separately. Of course windows didn't boot - I had to do system restore.
So I run SFC, SURT and Sfcfix once more.
That are most recent logs. I really want to fix that problems. I have that windows installation since 2012 and dont't want to reinstall it.

Thank you.
Unfortunately, it did not help. I manually uninstalled all Microsoft Visual C ++ Redistributable packages and reinstalled them after reboot. Uninstalling 2 of them were problems - I had to use the package installer to uninstall them.
Then I used sfc / sannow, surt and sfcfix. The results are the same as before. I did not try to install windows patches - if that was the reason, it did not disappear.
Maybe some other idea?

The interesting thing is that the files listed in CheckSUR.log as "Unavailable repair files" do not exist in winsxs\manifests\

FRST Registry Search
1. Click your Start button and choose Control Panel.
2. In the upper right corner ensure the View by: is set to Category.
3. Select the Programs group.
4. Click the Turn Windows features on or off link. This will bring up the Windows Features dialog. Wait until this dialog populates with information. If this does not happen for some reason, please continue with the steps anyway.
Note: This loads your components hive which is what we want. Please keep this dialog open while you perform the remaining steps.
5. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 32-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
6. Run FRST by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
7. Copy and paste
x86_microsoft.vc80.atl_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.91_none_dc9917e997f80c63 into the Search box and click the Search Registry button.
8. When the scan is complete a notepad window will open with the results. Please attach this to your next reply. It is saved on your desktop named SearchReg.txt.
9. You may close any remaining open windows now.

Hello
Done. I am convinced that I do not have malware or a virus in my system.

As a last resort, If you can not solve it I would try to uninstall all patches since January. If it's possible. Because I used disk cleanup (cleanmgr) few times..

Let's do this one as a test:

Step#1 - FRST Fix
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 32-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Download attached file and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
3. Run FRST by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
4. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
5. When finished FRST will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

Ok. We have just removed this registry key. What should I do now? SFC scan?

Does it matter? Each time I used SURT (except for the first offcourse), I first removed folder c:\windows\CheckSur. Now I'm not do it - I just started SURT. The result will be within 10 minutes
