Windows 7 Error Code 800B0100 when trying to install updates KB2868725 and KB2872339

Hello everyone,

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate with SP1 already installed on a 64-bit machine. The
problem I'm having is that I'm not being able to finalize the updates due to error code
800B0100. After this error pops up, these 02 updates (KB2868725 and KB2872339) fail
to install. From the few queries I've made it looks like this error code pops up for a gamut
of reasons. I've googled and I've read numerous fixes, but none seem to work. I stumbled
upon this forum and was impressed by how well organized it looked. I hope I can find my
solution here. Any suggestions are very welcome. Thanks in advance for taking the time
to read the thread. Please see attachments for CBS folder contents. I had to split the
CBS folder in two separate compressed files due to the size exceeding the maximum
allowable for uploads.

The System Update Readiness Tool doesn't detect 0x800B0100 errors that are in the SoftwareDistribution folder which I suspect is one of the fixes you tried, but fortunately there is another tool that will fix this. Can you run this FixIt in Aggressive Mode please?

Windows Update error "0x80070002" or "0x80070003"

Then reboot and try Windows Update again, it should work :)
