[SOLVED] Windows 7, Error 800B0100

I reran KB947821-Fix Windows6.1-KB947821-v34-x64.msu, and I have now a smaller CBS-Folder.
After that, I reran SFCFix again, it's still the same. Also the CBS logs are showing no errors, but CBS.log itself contains lines with 'failed'.
Code:
$ egrep -C2 --color -i 'warning|fail|error' "C:\Users\$USER\Desktop\CBS.log" > Errors_in_CBS.log
View attachment Errors_in_CBS.log

Also in WindowsUpdate.log, I can find Lines with 'Failed'

This seems to be a download issue, but I'm wondering, why other updates were downloaded just fine.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

As the CheckSur log is clean this normally indicates an issue with the TEMP location for WU downloads, it is just a case of clearing it out.

Software Distribution rename

  • Click Start -> Type in CMD in the search -> Right click on cmd.exe and choose Run as Administrator
  • Entre in the following commands:
    net stop wuauserv
    ren %SystemRoot%\SoftwareDistribution\Download DL.bak
    ren %SystemRoot%\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore DS.bak
    net start wuauserv

Once completed please try and run windows update again.

Hello Go The Power, thank you for this, that task was easy ;). Could it be, that it will download all security updates again?

This seems to take a long time...

[EDIT] It has finished and found 1 important update, how that?

I have to look, if I'm ready to restart the computer yet, because I'm on a remote session. Hold on.

This might helped, but I'm not sure, because after the first and second update cycle reconnection worked, and 1+5 updates were successfully installed. Then I did an backup of C: and installed further 5 updates. this time, I can see in teamviewer the computer appeared again and is ready to connect, but it seems, that I'm no longer able to connect to it. So I'll have to wait until monday to investigate the situation. I have looked under programs and functions and activated 'view updates' and saw all other updates, but the windows update log seems to be cleared out and shows only the newly installed security fixes. I think everything went fine. thank you, I'll report as soon as possible.

Hello Go The Power, thank you very much! Your hint solved my windows update issue! I was later able to connect remotely to that computer with the issue, and it turned out, that windows update has no new updates found and everything is fine! I discovered, that exactly the missing updates were installed +1 new update. I guess there is no problem with the cleaned up update log, is it?
