Hello,

New user here.
Before posting, I've tried to solve the issue by myself, using all the information I could find on this (very) well done forum. I've read the tutorials and tried multiple tools and fixes without luck.
So here I am, asking for someone's help, hoping that it is something obvious and easy to fix.

Basically stated:
- Windows 7 Entreprise x64 SP1 running on a VM (VMware Workstation 15 Player)
- KB4516048 and KB4516065 not installing even though they have been superseded by more recent updates probably
- CBS folder zipped (large): CBS
- CheckSUR.persist.log attached
- WindowsUpdate.log attached
- SFCFix.txt attached

SFCFix and CheckSUR logs are not helping me much to understand the issue.
It seems to be error code 0x80092004 (or 0x80070002? missing files?) (as seen in WindowsUpdate.log)

Code:

Thank you for this swift reply.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you spot the problem? Which log?

Again, thank you for your help!

So by knowing it was error code 0x80092004, you knew it was that particular package (KB4490628) that was causing/resolving the problem (file corruption?).
Does it means that I can keep it just in case this error comes back at a later time?
Thanks

Yes, that's correct. Critical Windows Update related files were missing, so the system could not interpret the data it was receiving by Windows Update causing it to fail. By installing this, you resolved the issue. It won't come back. Once it's installed, you no longer need it.
