HELP

I'm having trouble with windows rejecting or failing certificates preventing me from opening many https sites, including Hotmail, yahoo, Microsoft support. Also I am getting a warning on my outlook file but am able to continue.
Started on Thursday 26th. I carried out a Norton full virus scan - no threats detected. Malwarebytes - no threats. Checked Norton and was told to remove and reinstall. Microsoft wouldn't let me due to certificate errors. An operative from Norton took over my computer and removed Norton - saw it was not causing the problem and offered to reinstall it for me. Not possible due to certification errors.
Downloaded Microsoft security essentials and ran full scan. Found and removed "Exploit: Java/CVE-2-11-3544".
Windows troubleshooting told me I have a CbsPackageServicingFailure2.
Took System Restore back to Wednesday 27th. No improvement.
Tried to Restore back to 12th November. Blue screen of death threatening lots of damage if I continued. Windows then started normally.
I ran Checkdisc - no problems
I ran SFC/SCANNOW - 26 errors that cannot be repaired. Either file missing or hash mismatch.
I ran SFCFix both without and then with original disc

I'm not particularly computer literate - if someone could talk me through what to do step by step I might manage it.
The other option I keep considering is to upgrade to Windows 10 but don't like to when there's a serious problem sitting there.
