[SOLVED] Windows 7 cannot play Sounds - Corrupt Files

Please help my windows 7 64bit suddenly cannot play any sounds, i ran SFCFix and found many corrupted files, and also tried to ran SFC and DISM but failing.

Attach the file C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log to your next reply.

  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

Hi Peter thank you,
after i did your instruction i restarted the system, boot it up again but the problem still there.
cant play test sounds.png

its weird, so i tried to run SFCFix again and still cant play sounds, i have no clue what happened, (logs attached).
please help and thank you again.

Great.

Lets cleanup a folder which was created by mistake.
Open the Windows Explorer and see if there is a subfolder winsxs in the folder C:\Windows\winsxs\
If so, try the delete the bolded folder C:\Windows\winsxs\winsxs only. Do NOT delete the folder C:\Windows\winsxs
Please report the result.
