Hello,

my Windows Server 2016 fails to update with the 2023-10 cumulative update. I think it was because of failure of one member disk of the RAID-5 (already replaced).

Here's what I got:

C:\>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

C:\>DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.14393.4169

Image Version: 10.0.14393.4169

[===========================97.7%======================== ]
Error: 1734

Granice tablicy są nieprawidłowe. (--> array boundaries are incorrect)

The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log

I have noticed also in my dism.log following errors:

I have started your Components Scanner and it found bad hashes for two files.
Is it safe to just delete them?
Previously I have also found complaints that one of .mum file in C:\Windows\servicing\Packages have xml parsing errors and indeed it has binary content. Is is safe to delete it together with accompanying .cat file?

Can you help me fix this issue, please?

Thanks in advance.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
