I understand that you have a high volume but is there any chance you could take a look at this one? This server is unable to apply the September security update and now the October update is ready.

Thanks for all that you do! (second donation incoming)

Hi,

Which security software is installed on this server?
Please provide also the following log.

Export the Windows Update log
  • Right-click on the Start button and click Windows PowerShell (Admin).
  • Copy and paste the following command into it, press enter afterwards
Code:
Get-WindowsUpdateLog
  • Wait for the message "WindowsUpdate.log written to C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\WindowsUpdate.log".
  • Attach the logfile WindowsUpdate.log to your next reply.

Hi,

Thanks, but I meant which Security Software is installed on this server because the access denied issue!

1. It seems this server is connected to an WSUS server, (0x8024500C) - Connections to the redirector server are disallowed by managed policy.
2. Are you able to update this server when it's completely disconnected from the WSUS server?

It looks like it was SMB 1.0
The WSUS server had a change applied to no longer accept SMB 1.0 and this server was trying to connect with it.
Updates now successfully applied

Thanks!
