Using the .NET Collect Utility

  1. Download collect.exe and save to your desktop.
  2. Go ahead and run the tool
  3. The utility creates a compressed cabinet of all the needed logs to %TEMP%\vslogs.cab.
  4. Please zip/attach to this post or if too large, send using a service such as SendSpace.

Please delete your E:\Installer (there may be a subfolder before the Installer folder), but by the looks of it, the problem may be similar. Afterwards, try the .NET setup again! If the folder is not visible, make sure the option "Hide protected operating system files" is unchecked.

Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > select Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile from the list and click on the Uninstall/Change button. The Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile Maintenance window will open and select the “Repair .NET Framework 4 Client Profile to its original state”. Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.

· Click Windows button and type 'regedit' in search bar.
· Click 'regedit' in search results
· Navigate to following registry hive:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer
Check if following registry keys have correct values:

· MsiExecCA32 should end with \Windows\syswow64\msiexec.exe
· MsiExecCA64 should end with \Windows\system32\msiexec.exe
