Hello,

I got several servers running windows 2008 R2 SP1 and I tried tu push some updates (critical and security).
The following updates can't be installed :
  1. KB4507456
  2. KB4516065
  3. KB4516655
  4. KB2984972
checking the event log I got the following error : 2147956498 « Le magasin de composants a été endommagé. »
It seems that the componnent store is corrupted.

After SFC scan I got some errors, so I've downloaded SFCFIX and ran it.

Her's my logs :

If anyone got some advice to fix my issue ...

Hello and welcome!

Retrieve Components Hive
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to a file sharing service. Examples of services to upload to are Dropbox or OneDrive or SendSpace and then just provide the link in your reply.

Thank you!

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Download the file below, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

Afterwards, run System Update Readiness Tool again and attach CheckSUR.log.

Thanks a lot all my updates are installed !

I got another question : when I tried to solve by myslef I saw that It was a missing manifest ->

Code:
wow64_microsoft-windows-t..minalservicesclient_31bf3856ad364e35_7.2.7601.16415_none_6ff75c0c95c8e0b9.manifest

Is there anyway to get the missing file ? I've seen some messages on several forum suggesting to search in other server running same OS but I didn't find such a file ...

Ok thank you very much !

Is there a way to tag the post as 'solved' ?

br,
Nicolas.
