[SOLVED] windows 11 updates download errors

Hello, i have issue with updates on windows 11 machine.
Error download error - 0x80004002
in cbs log i can find errors :

Hello, attached cbs folder. I have checked component file using component scanner and no errors. Dism and sfc didn't help. When I download update im able to install manualy but when i want to do this using winndows update i have download error - 0x80004002

Hello, due to security reasons i can upload here files You requested. But i have checked it and there is no problem. We have 5 different computers with this issue (after uprade from windows 10)

We have disabled delivery optimization feature in windows update and service is disabled on computers. Why windows update needs to connect this service ?

As I suspected, there are several policies set, this is the reason why you can't install updates through Windows Update. My advice would be to reset all the policies to the default values. You could use the attached Fixlist to restore them.

Could you please explain the purpose of the following tasks and PowerShell scripts?

Farbar Recovery Scan Tool again.

Warning: This script was written specifically for this system. Do not run this script on another system.
  • Download the attachment fixlist.txt and save it to your desktop.
  • Right-click on FRST.exe and select "Run as administrator".
  • Press the Fix button.
  • If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally.
  • When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
  • Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Afkors it is our security task for logs collecting. It is working on every stations.

Solved! *FAILED* [80070422] Connect to the DO service it means delivery optimization service is disabled (dosvc) After enable service everything works OK.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DoSvc\Start - 4 Disabled
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DoSvc\Start - 2 Works OK
 
Hi,

Thanks for the update on this thread, I've disabled the DO (dosvc) service on a VM as well and was still able to update so I couldn't replicate the issue.
 
Yes, I've set DoSvc to 0x4. Just tested on another VM and able to install the latest LCU as well without any issues.
