Hi, I have been getting error 0x80070002 when installing the recent Windows 11 Update KB5029263 (build 2134). The attached CBS.log points to a missing manifest file C:\Windows\WinSxS\Manifests\amd64_microsoft-windows-c..red-deployment01150_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.22621.2070_zh-cn_f5dd608d58dae43e.manifest (and others). Windows reports that the update installed "successfully" yesterday, but it obviously didn't as Windows is still on build 2070. Both SFC and ComponentsScanner report no integrity violations. DISM RestoreHealth runs successfully but does not solve the problem. Things I have tried:
I would greatly appreciate any assistance.
- Manually downloading the required manifest files from Microsoft Update Catalog and adding them in - This leads to a new error message in CBS: 0x800f0991 (PSFX_E_MISSING_PAYLOAD_FILE)
- Installing the update manually using DISM and Add-WindowsPackage - Same error
- Installing the update using WUSA: Claims that it is already installed; subsequent attempted uninstallation fails saying that the update is permanent and is not uninstallable. Forcibly removing the update by manually deleting the .cat & .mum file and registry entries of Package_for_RollupFix~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~22621.2134.1.5 and trying again resulted in WUSA attempting to install it but ends up with the same error as initially.
I would greatly appreciate any assistance.
