I knew it as soon as I saw the limitations. There is no way they would "filter" out that many machines. Market share = Users, Users = ad dollars and data. Give it a few weeks, you'll be able to install Windows 11 on an Atari 2600. /j

I agree with you, on the whole, about the probabilities.

But, and it's an important but, Windows 10 is not going away. It is still in support until 2025, so there would be no real mass exodus from the Windows ecosystem.

I am trying to decide whether this is an intentional move to "cull the supported hardware herd" under Windows 11 specifically. By the time Windows 10 goes out of support (and we all know the 2025 date could easily be extended) there's not going to be a whole lot of active hardware that wouldn't meet the current floor specs for Windows 11.

Time will tell!
