I'm desperately trying to get the Update "2022-05 Kumulatives Update für Windows 10 Version 21H1 für x64-basierte Systeme (KB5013942)" installed on my machine but it fails every attempt I've made so far with error 0x8007000d.
I've followed several of those generic troubleshooting guides you find by googling "KB5013942 error 0x8007000d" that all suggest running sfc and Dism like you guys do here, rebooting after all attempts. I've also downloaded KB5013942 manually and tried to install it by hand. The results were always the same. Each and every attempt fails with error code 0x8007000d.
Eventually I've discovered CBS.log in which I searched for the first error message I could find which was "...Error NTSTATUS_FROM_WIN32(ERROR_INVALID_DATA)...". By adding that string to my google search I've finally found your wonderful forum. Finally a place where people actually try to resolve update issues and not just throw around generic advise
Following the posting guide from niemiro I've ran "sfc /scannow" again which found no integrity violations anymore. It might have found/resolved some issues in previous attempts when I didn't troubleshoot systematically.
Afterwards I also ran "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" again which gave me "The operation completed successfully.".
I ran SFCFix several times, both before and after I've started to follow the posting guide but all executions reported the same. No corruptions were detected.
But still each retry to install KB5013942 persistently fails with error code 0x8007000d.
So here I am, opening a new thread in the hopes someone can help me fix that issue before I have to resort to more drastic measures and do a repair install of Win10 from a Media Creation tool.
Here's the GoogleDrive Link to my zipped CBS folder: CBS.zip
Attached is also SFCFix.txt without much information.
The thread I've ended up in while googling was from kafigreem and his issues looked very similar to mine. You guys asked him for the "components" file in System32\Config to further analyze. So I've attached mine as well in case you need it.
Could someone please have a look at them and help me out what else I can try?
