Hi,

I noticed that yesterday my taskbar stopped working properly. No right click functionality, and the start button doesn't work either. I've been looking everywhere online, and running diagnostics and fixes, and I've noticed a few things, all of them probably related:

- Windows firewall doesn't seem to be working, and won't turn on from the control panel. I can't change the behaviour of the service either.
- I've tried downloading an ISO of windows 10 and then running DISM and SFC. Scanhealth says "The component store is repairable.
The operation completed successfully", but then I can't repair it I have tried lots of different options to no success: online, pointing the source to install.wim... I always get the same error (0x800f081f) no matter what I try, I'm trapped in a loop and I don't want to reinstall everything. Could anyone please give me some advice?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

Thanks xilolee, but restarting explorer didn't help, it's one of the first things I tried. About WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab, I couldn't find anything similar in Win10, I think updates work in a different way, there's no options you can tweak.

I think what simply happened is that the OS got corrupted somehow and now it can't repair itself. I've seen lots of people with a similar problem, but theirs solutions weren't working for me
