Hello!
I have encountered windows update problems since the update to Windows 10 x64 version 1803 has been offered (I have version 1709 installed).
Since then, all windows updates and driver updates fail. What's more annoying, in the process of correcting this, the installed graphics card drivers have been corrupted and I could not reinstall them any more (I have tried several driver versions and used DDU v17.0.8.6 to clean the remains), so that I am working in low-res at the moment. I have performed several attempts at using DISM and SFC, in normal and safe mode, with or without Windows installation media. Since then, DISM runs without errors, but SFC still shows errors.
My configuration is based around an intel motherboard DZ77BH-55K with 8-cores processor intel Core i7-3770K @3,5 GHz with 8GB of RAM DDR3 DIMM at 1333MHz, two 1TB Western Digital hard disks in RAID configuration for data and one 250GB SAMSUNG SSD840 EVO for the system partition including most installed programs. The graphics card is an ASUS DirectCU II based on nvidia GEForce GTX 660 GPU with 2 GB GDDR5 memory. I also have a LiteON iHBS112 blue-ray disc reader/recorder, a Toshiba TSSTCorp SH-118AB DVD-ROM multi-reader, a PCI 802.11g WiFi card TRENDnet TEW-423PI and a Brother MFC-J4510DW printer/scanner.
The latest Windows Update attempt (right after running SFCFix.exe) failed with code 0x80246007. Somehow, that's a progress as I was used to have error 0x800703f1 before. Drivers installation used to fail with either error 0x800703f1 or 0x80246013 or 0x80070002.

SFCFix seemed to run properly:

Hello again!
I would like to add something which I discovered today while looking at the CBS.log and might help others.
sfc was looking for the files ChtAP.sdc and chtzhy.spd in the directory C:\Windows\System32\zh-hk\zh-hk and C:\Windows\System32\zh-TW\zh-tw but these two directories did not exist. Instead, these files were in C:\Windows\System32\zh-hk, resp. C:\Windows\System32\zh-TW, so I created the two directories and copied them from the original to the new directories. I ran sfc /scannow afterwords and it completed without errors.
I got the hint from there:
After Windows 1709 update (Fall Creators Update), there are "corrupt files not fixed" when running sfc /scannow - Super User
I am rather skeptical, but let's see if it solves some of my installations/updates problems.
