Would it be possible to reinstall Edge? Which method was used to remove it?

Powershell

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Click on the Start
    Start%20Orb.jpg
button and in the search box, type Powershell
  2. When you see Powershell on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When Powershell opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, then press enter

    Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge

  4. Right-click on the Powershell window and click Select All, this will invert all of the colours by selecting the text, now press enter. All of this text is now copied.
  5. Paste (Ctrl+V) it into your next post please.

I'd like to see the output of the Powershell command: Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge

Does this folder exist?

C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe

At this point since the registry entries for Edge are missing, it might be best to attempt an in-place upgrade. This should retain any user data and settings, but be sure to create a good backup just in case.

Go to the Windows 10 Download page here: Download Windows 10
Choose the Update Now button, and run the application once the download completes.

This may take a while, and will reinstall all default System apps.

If this results in an error, please zip and attach C:\$Windows.~bt\Sources\Panther\SetupAct.log

I should have mention it before, but I did the in-place upgrade approx. a week ago and it didn't do anyhting

Did an in-place upgrade now without removing Edge and it has gone well. Seems Microsoft Edge was the problem.
