Windows 10 Update hangs while attempting to update KB3139907 and KB3140743. Reports that it is downloading, but it is not.

Windows Update Diagnostics reports service registration missing or corrupt: not fixed.

Downloaded and ran SFCFix which finished without detecting any errors. See attached SFCFix.txt file.

SFC reports:
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios.

DISM reports:
C:\WINDOWS\system32>DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.10586.0
Image Version: 10.0.10586.0
[==========================100.0%==========================]
Error: 0x800f081f
The source files could not be found.
Use the "Source" option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature. For more information on specifying a source location, see Configure a Windows Repair Source.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\WINDOWS\Logs\DISM\dism.log

Included CBS.zip as suggested in posting instructions.

Hi teroche :)

My name is Aura and I'll be assisting you with your issue. The only corruption I see in your CBS.log is from the opencl.dll, which is "normal" when you install NVIDIA drivers and doesn't affect the system in a way where Windows Updates cannot be downloaded and installed anymore. How long did you wait before concluding that the updates weren't downloading?

Thank you for your reply to my assistance request.

Two points:

1. On Tuesday (22 Mar) the system did successfully download and install some updates, namely: KB890830, KB3144756, KB3140741, KB3140768. Then yesterday it failed to install KB3140743 and KB3139907 once again (third time).

2. Although I do own a Dell machine with NVIDIA drivers installed, this topic refers to my ThinkPad X1 Carbon, which has no dedicated graphics card. Plus, DISM still returns error 0x800f081f.

If this is normal, then I apologize for wasting your time.
Tim
