Hi there,

Firstly I would like to say what a great service you are offering here.

Now to the problem...

I have tried many different things to resolve my problem and I will list them below not in any particular order:

  • used windows update repair tool
  • tried to install windows from iso file
  • deleted software distribution folder
  • renamed catroot2 folder
  • tried windows insider update to latest build
I managed to follow some instructions to find a log file that contained the following info if it is of any use:

Hi,

Sorry for the delay! If you still need help on this please locate the following logs:
C:\Windows\Panther\Setupact.log
C:\Windows\panther\setuperr.log
C:\Windows\inf\setupapi.app.log
C:\Windows\inf\setupapi.dev.log

Some may not exist. Copy the files to the Desktop, zip them and attach the zip file to your post.

Hello there,

Yes I would still greatly appreciate some help with this issue.

Have attached the requested files. If there is anything else I can include to assist with the search for a fix for this issue, let me know.

I found a file that made reference to using powershell to generate a windows update log so i did that and included the generated file in the newly attached zip file below.

Thanks again,

This can be resolved from the Recovery Environment, do you have a DVD or flash drive containing the Windows 10 install disk? The computer have only one HDD or SSD installed?

To fix this problem we have to do some changes to the system boot files and partitions, its recommended that you have good backups of your data just in case something goes wrong!
