Hello to everyone,

I introduce my self, because is the first time i'm using these forums. So, hello everybody !

Now, the problem and the WHY I am here: For like 6 months i've realised that I was not able to update my Windows 10 OS, for the famous error 0x800703e6. I've managed to follow the instructions you provide and I attach the files you request. Hope you may help me, because I am definitely not being able to solve this issue by my own.

Thank you very much for any help, even If we don't solve the problem at all.

Cheers !

Step 1. Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.
  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Dear Maxtar,

I've followed your instructions and this happened to me:

1- The SFCfix seems to work, but...
2- As i attach in the image, the DISM seems to fail at the end of the process, "Error: 0x800f081f __ the origin's files were not founded". Sorry if it's not an 100% accurated translation, but i figure you will have an idea about it.

3- The strange issue is that the Windows Update now, it's working! an seems it's downloading properly the updates i've been missing these months. If there is any trouble here, i will let you now.
4- I Attach the SFCfix.txt generated and the new CBS.

Thank you very much for your help. At least it seems a part of the problem is solved.

Hi,

This looks good, are there any remaining issues or is everything up and running again?

Working perfectly fine. Just re-cheking the updates and on-line services... If there is any problem with that I may let you know.

Thanks again, Maxtar. Have a nice Monday, and a better week !

Hello again,

I may have talked so quickly with that ... now, but, the problem is slightly diferent and the Error is the number: 0x80070643 when I try to install the latest updates for the OS.

I attach a new CBS just in case it's needed.
