I hope this is the right place to post this, plus I didn't want to hijack someone else's post.
I set my ethernet connection to 'metered' so that some updates wouldn't install automatically - the update to v2004 in fact - and indeed for a week or so it was shown as available to download. Then 2 days ago when I returned to the computer after a brief absence there was a window displayed saying my computer need to restart in order to finish the update. So lo and behold it had downloaded and installed it. Luckily things are all working fine but that's not the point.
Why did this happen ?? Is there another setting along with 'metered' that I should have changed ??
