Windows 10 update 2004

I wouldn't. There are still enough outstanding issues that need to be ironed out that I'm in no hurry.

As the message in the Windows Update Pane reads:

Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004
The next version of Windows is available with new features and security improvements.

When you're ready for the update, select "Download and install."

Emphasis by underline is mine. Just because it appears, which indicates that Microsoft believes your hardware is ready, that doesn't mean that you are. There have also been plenty of instances where, as the Feature Update rollout progresses and an issue previously unidentified crops up, that certain computers that have the message above revert to the, "Not quite ready," status.

I say go for it. Unless like issues are widespread (huge numbers not sporadic reports), what are the chances that MS will fix the one thing that may or may not crop up in your one computer that you were waiting on them to fix. Further, how will you know if there is an issue without trying it.

I say all this assuming one has a recent, full, valid backup image of their HDD/SSD. If this is the case, it's a matter of restoring from a backup image in 5-10 minutes dependent on the speed of your system.

Also, if and when you decide to "let it go", if you do have an issue use the Feedback Hub to let them know. Unlike in the past, MS has done a fine job listening to their users.
