[Windows 10] SFC/scannow and .../retorehealth failed>SFCFix outputs two corrupt files

Ok, SFC/scannow said it couldn't repair all files and dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth gave error 0x800f081f as output. After running the latest version of SFCFix (which doesn't recognize Windows 10 yet btw) I found out that two files are corrupt on my Windows 10 laptop:

SFCFix version 2.4.5.0 by niemiro.
Start time: 2015-08-08 19:08:44.130
Microsoft Windows 8.1 - amd64
Not using a script file.

Do you have your installation media handy?

I don't have an installation disk of Windows... And even if I can find it, it was of Windows 8, not even 8.1... Or did I understand you wrong? Sorry for responding so late, I was on vacation :) Shall I check again on the laptop if one of the Windows 10 updates fixed the corruption already or made it even worse?

That's fine, I found what I needed.

Sorry, but everything you've done so far is now useless: since this morning, the laptop doesn't want to boot into Windows, gives BSOD's at startup and gets in a loop of trying to repair Windows. So, I can't even login into Windows anymore. So, I'm now trying to repair everything using a USB with the Windows 10 install files on it (and then using CMD and sfc/scannow) I will keep you updated and will ask you if I need help.

Re: [Windows 10] SFC/scannow and .../retorehealth failed>SFCFix outputs two corrupt f

Does it give any kind of error code, like a Blue Screen with the frown face?

Yes, but whatever I did, nothing helped, so I did a clean install of Windows 10. I tried all options I had, but I didn't have many as I wasn't able to access Windows anymore, even restoring to a previous version or refreshing the install resulted in an error. After the fresh install, no corruptions are detected anymore! :)

Well that certainly is a solution!

Let me know if you need anything :grin1:
