[SOLVED] Windows 10 Pro update failure: 0x80073701

Hi,

I have been trying to install "Onderdelenupdate naar Windows 10, versie 22H2", but it fails with error "0x80073701".
My operating system is Windows 10 Pro - 21H1 (build 19043.1889).

I have followed all the steps as described in "Windows Update Forum Posting Instructions".

SFC Scan result: "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."
DISM result: "Error: 0x800f081f"

Any help is much appreciated.

Could you please post a copy of the COMPONENTS hive.

Upload your COMPONENTS hive.
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
  • Please copy this file to your desktop.
  • Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
  • Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
  • If the file is too large to upload here, upload the file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply.

The DISM command result was now successful: "The restore operation completed successfully. - The operation completed successfully."!

As a result, I successfully installed the 22H2 update and all of the following.
