Hello i'm concerned of what you said about my last thread that you closed because of the OS pirated content. Is my computer really has a pirated OS? I just bought this from a online seller. Also, I can't get through to that malware cleaner site so I can remove some of cracked software installed.1682912662783.png

Hi Brad87,

I'm afraid you've been ripped off.

The screenshot for the instructions icotonev provided about "Check your operating system" was to check how your Windows was activated. This activation is a KMS activation, KMS is meant primarily for enterprise, but is often used to illegally activate Windows.

Many repair shops and salespeople use this KMS activation to sell you a cheap 'license', sometimes you even pay the full price for it, but this 'license' can cause the customer to experience problems since the crack can break over time due to updates as KMS activation normally has to be renewed every 180 days. On top of that, from a security perspective, you have no idea what else can come along since the crack itself is a copy of what's found online which is known to contain malware that we've seen countless times infect computers.

My advice is to get yourself a license from Microsoft, or from a place authorized by Microsoft. They're not cheap, but it's worth it spending that money than the stress and trouble that may come along with other routes. Once you have activated Windows through a license, the malware topic can continue.

Brad,

You said:

You mean that you bought the computer from an online seller or the license? If the latter is the case, had you Windows 7 installed before?

As Axe mentioned, buy a license and if compatible Windows 11. I'm guessing it's an older unit and would require hardware upgrades to be ready for Windows 11. :(
