Hi all,

I have a bit of a peculiar situation with the Netflix Win10 app and I did both check the Internets for answers and try the suggested solutions (reinstall graphics driver, etc). The latter yielded no results, so let me describe it here.
I've got a brand new (two week old) Lenovo Yoga C930 (i7-8550U, 16 gigs RAM, QHD version), which came with win10 build 1809 and also got the big update I think last week. I honestly don't know if the Netflix app was working before the update, because I haven't had a chance to try it, but here is what's happening now: when starting to play one particular show ("Russian Doll," go figure) the video basically produces either grey or pink rectangles with garbled sound and then the app exits within maybe 5-6 seconds.

Here's what I get in the event viewer:

Level Date and Time Source Event ID Task Category
Error 2/16/2019 9:22:48 PM Application Error 1000 (100) "Faulting application name: wwahost.exe, version: 10.0.17763.1, time stamp: 0xce9365c3

Here is Windows info:

OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Home
Version 10.0.17763 Build 17763

Netflix works fine in Chrome and also other shows seem to play fine in the app. What I also noticed, and it may or may not be related, after using the Netflix app, whether it ends up crashing or not, the search results in the taskbar search become non-clickable. They do appear, but the mouse pointer becomes a cursor and clicking does nothing. This seems like a well-known issue on various forums, and yet it is unclear what causes it or how to fix it. In my case, logging off and back on fixes the search. It could be a coincidence and I will continue testing, but right now I removed the Netflix app and everything seems okay. sfc /scannow produces nothing, but I ran it in normal mode.
This is, once again, a new system that came with very little bloat, which I removed (games, linkedin app for some reason, etc). All the latest drivers off of Lenovo's website + latest BIOS. Unless I absolutely have to, I really don't want to go factory resetting things. Complete weirdness, especially given that we have another laptop at 1/3 the price of this C930, and it's running w10 ok, including the Netflix app, including that show. ;)

Any suggestions? Thank you!

upd: i think I am quickly going from asking for help to reporting windows bugs. My other laptop (a bigger contrast with the C930 could not be made in terms of hardware) did pretty much the same thing. First the Netflix app goes out, then maybe 5 mins later the search glitch. This time under a clean install of Windows 10 Enterprise.
