installing windows 10 in my windows 7 ultimate x64 2gb ram from media creation tool.

i downloaded ISO image file in E drive. i run the setup.exe as an admin.. everything goes alright until it reaches 77% on blue screen..

HELP ME.... PLEASE

2GB of RAM with Windows 10 will be sluggish.

Was your computer booting and working fine prior to this?

When you say blue screen, do you mean the blue screen during the setup or a Blue Screen of Death.

Is the E drive a USB or internal drive?

Also, if you can get back to square one try this link here to install.

Google says minimum requirements for Windows 10 in 64 bit architecture is 2gb eam which i have. And it works in my friends laptop so it won't create problem in my laptop.

Ya it was working very fine. No problem in booting.

Blue screen means when windows starts installing.

E drive an internal partition hard drive.

Blue screen & the failure message.

Just FYI, those aren't what conventionally get called Blue Screens (of Death).

The one you show during installation is entirely normal, and the failure screen is not a BSOD, but a standard error dialog.

2 GB is just insanely low, and could actually be the source of the issue depending on what other hardware is present. One never uses "Microsoft Minimums" as being an accurate indication of what's needed for a functional system. The bare minimum under Windows 10 is 4 GB with 8 GB being the reasonable minimum for decent running under normal conditions. If you have the option of adding memory before even trying to install Windows 10 I absolutely would.

You also don't note what version of Windows 10 you're trying to install. I would presume 2004, in the absence of other information, but you could have downloaded the ISO file you're using months ago. It would help to know what version of Windows 10 that ISO file is for.

Hi!

Please do the following, so I can gather more info:

Step#1 - FRST Scan

1. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
2. Right-click FRST64.exe and click Run as Administrator to run it as administrator. When the tool opens, click Yes to disclaimer.
3. Please ensure you place a check mark in the Addition.txt check box at the bottom of the form before running (if not already checked).
4. Press Scan button.
5. It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should now be the desktop)
6. Please attach the log back here.
7. Another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST64.exe) will be generated Please also attach that along with the FRST.txt in your reply.

I suggest you follow the instructions given by @softwaremaniac, as he is the resident Windows Update subject matter expert.

And, as you've already seen, in living color, what works on one machine may not work on another for any of thousands of possible reasons. But since someone who knows the Windows Update process, within a single version of Windows, or when upgrading from one version to another, inside and out has stepped in that's who you should be listening to and providing the data requested.

thank you for your time

Installation stops at 79% and becomes fail giving a message "windows installation has failed"..
